Dr. Ezra Spicehandler,
national president of the
Labor Zionist Alliance, will
speak on "The Zionist Scene
From a Labor Zionist
Perspective" 8 p.m. Wed-
nesday at the Labor Zionist
Institute, 25900 Greenfield,
Suite 205E, Oak Park.
Distinguished Professor
of Hebrew Literature at the
Hebrew Union College in
Cincinnati, Dr. Spicehan-
dler has been Fulbright
Scholar, dean of the
Jerusalem School of HUC-
JIR, and a visiting fellow at
Oxford University in
England for post-graduate
Hebrew studies.
He has published articles
on modern Hebrew litera-
ture, Israel and Zionism,
Judeo-Persian studies and
talmudic history. He served
as divisional editor of mod-
em Hebrew literature of the
new Encyclopedia Judaica
and in this capacity, wrote
' several articles in that field
including an article on
modern Hebrew literature.
