BBYO Activities

Samson AZA will spon-
sor a spring road rally
Saturday, beginning at 8

School in Southfield.
Entrants should bring

and a dictionary. There is a
limit of five persons per car.
First and second prizes will
be awarded and a special
bonus will be provided to
each participant. There is a

The AZA Basketball
League will hold its playoffs
and championship game on
Sunday at Oakland Com-
munity College, Orchard
Ridge campus. At 12:30

The winners will then com-
pete at 1:30 _p.m. for the
Avram "Bud" Charlip
Memorial Trophy. All
members of AZA and BBG
are invited. There is no ad-

An orientation meeting
for the 32 AZA and BBG
members attending this
year's Israel Summer Insti-
tute will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Monday in the Dubin Meet-
ing Room of the Bnai Brith

The BBYO Elections
Training Conclave will
take place May 14-16 at
Camp Maas. The theme
for the program is "How

(Inter-Regional Conven-
tion) which will be held
June 20-24 at the Bnai
Brith Perlman Camp in
Starlight, Pa. The
Machon will bring to-
gether BBYOers from Al-

Ohio, Central, Northern,

Jersey, and South Jersey
Regions as well as Michi-
gan. The Machon will

The Great Lakes AZA
Council announces the ap-
pointment of Harold Sil-
verstein of Samson AZA as
coordinator of the 1982 AZA
Softball League. The league
will begin May 23 and con-
tinue weekly through
August. Games will be
played at Southfield-
Lathrup and Southfield
High Schools. All -members
of AZA are eligible to par-
ticipate and individual ap-
plications will be in the mail
soon.
The Great Lakes and
AZA and BBG Councils
have selected Julie Weil of
Savage BBG and Rick
Mintz of Ruach AZA as
coordinators of the 1982,
Council Installation. The
program will be held Jun€
10 and will feature Council
award presentations as well
as the installing of the
newly-elected Council offi-
cers.

Aid for Poles

CHICAGO — The Ameri-
can ,Jewish Committee's
Chicago Chapter has pre-
sented a contribution from
its members of $2,000 to the
Illinois Division of the
Polish American Congress
for food and supplies for the
Polish people.-
