Born in Russia, Mr. Klar has lived in Detroit since he was 18. He is the former owner of Met- ropolitan and Tiger Cleaners in Detroit. He is retired. Mr. Klar was married to the former Libby Resnick in 1923. Mrs. Klar died in 1963. Mr. Klar has been a member of Pinsker Pro- gressive Aid Society for many years, and held many posts in the organization. He is a founder of Pinsker's Kupat Holim clinic in Herzliya, Israel.
