The con- ference marks the closing of Midwest Region. As of June 1, the Midwest Region will merge with chapters and units from Ohio, Pittsburgh and Louisville, to become the East - Central Region. Akiva Baum Will Speak at Einstein Bonds Reception Akiva Baum, an Israeli expert on international trade and corporate law, will speak at the Einstein Lodge and Chapter leader- ship reception on behalf of the Israel Bond campaign. The reception will be held 8 p.m. Sunday at the West Bloomfield home of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Moorin as a pre- lude to the annual Einstein - Israel Bond dinner, scheduled for May 2 at Adat Shalom Synagogue, and horning Einstein members 7 is Isaacs and Sigmunt Ru 1n. Baum is currently associ- ated with a Wall Street law firm specializing in interna- tional corporate practice. From 1970 he practiced law in Tel -Aviv, and in 1972 he was nominated as one of the Israeli participants in the European Institute of Busi- ness Administration in France. A year later, follow- ing a world-wide competi- tion, he became the only Is- raeli ever to win the Ford Foundation Fellowship to work on an American docto- rate in business adminis- tration.
