Riding on the recent mili-

Some in Sinai
Force to Get
Drug Treatment

NEW YORK — Some
members of the U.S. contin-
gent of the Sinai peacekeep-
ing force will participate in
a drug rehabilitation pro-
gram while overseas, ac-
cording to officials at Fort
Bragg, N.C.
The program was set up
in response to a CBS News
report which claimed that
as many as 150 soldiers of
the 82nd Airborne Division,
which has provided troops
for duty in the Sinai,
showed signs of drug use in
urinalysis tests. The CBS
report said that one-third of
the 150 soldiers were re-
placed before the U.S. con-
tingent traveled to the Mid-
dle East.
The rehabilitation pro-
gram will include counsel-
ing and drug education pro-
vided by two army spe-
cialists, Fort Bragg officials
said.
