WASHINGTON — Secre-
tary of State Alexander
Haig feels that Paul Wol-
fowitz, the director of policy
planning at the State De-
partment, is too theoretical
and should be replaced, ac-
cording to the New York
Times.
Wolfowitz's job was of-
fered to William G. Hyland,
who headed the depart-
ment's bureau of intelli-
gence and research under
Secretary of State Henry.
Kissinger. Hyland declined
and the search for a re-
placement is continuing,
the Times reported.
We wound our modesty
and make foul the clearness
of our deservings, when of
ourselves we publish them.
