Emery Simon Emery Simon, former owner and operator with his wife of the John R - Nevada and Simon's Livernois Markets, died March 8 in Miami Beach, Fla. He was 81. He was a businessman in Detroit for nearly 30 years and retired to Florida in 1970. While in Detroit, Mr. Simon was a member of Young Israel of Detroit, Bnai Brith and Cong. omrey Emunah. In \orida, he was active in 7---casks on behalf of the Mesivta of Greater Miami and Talmudic University. In May 1981, Mr. and s. Simon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with the donation and dedi- cation of a new Sefer Torah to the Talmudic University on behalf of themselves, their children and grand- children. Besides his wife, Sarah, Mr. Simon is survived by a son, Rabbi Milton M. of Miami Beach; two daughters, Mrs. Irving (Dorothy) Lopatin of Be- verly Hills, Mich., and Mrs. Thomas (Beverly) Klimko of Royal Oak; two brothers, Harry of Southfield and Louis of Chicago, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
