The inauguration of the
eighth forest in Israel to be
sponsored by the Detroit-
area Bnai Brith will be
celebrated at the 16th an-
nual Bnai Brith Presidents'
Brunch 10 a.m. March 28 at
Adat Shalom Synagogue.
The forest is named the
Metro Detroit Bnai Brith
Forest. It is located in the
Forest of Peace in the
Galilee, which honors the
signing of the peace treaty
between Israel and Egypt in
Washington, D.C.
Registration for the
brunch begins at 9 a.m.
Admission is gained with
the purchase of a minimum
of three trees.
The brunch's featured
speaker will be Frank
Gervasi, journalist and
author.
Besides launchihg the
forest and honoring Israel's
34th anniversary of its in-
dependence, the brunch will
honor the presidents of the
Metro Detroit Bnai Brith
Men's and Women's Coun-
cils, lodge, chapter and unit
presidents.
