Beth Shalom. Part of a two-day obser- vance focusing on the needs of Jewish singles — social, cultural, religious and edu- cational — the panel in- cludes Rabbi David Nelson, spiritual leader of Beth Shalom; Sandra Feuer, di- rector of the Junior and Metropolitan Divisions of the Jewish Welfare Federa- tion; Gary Leo, assistant executive director of the Jewish Community Center; and Sam Lerner, executive director of the Jewish Fam- ily Service and director of Resettlement Service. Lerner has been in his leadership post at the JFS since May 1963. A graduate of the Smith College of Social Work, Lerner began his career at the Jewish Guidance Clinic in Newark N.J.
