final speaker in the Israel
Culture Series co-sponsored
by the Israel Information
and Resource Center and

the Jewish Community
Center.
Bertini made his dehlit
with the Israel Philhar-
monic in 1958 and has ap- ' ,

sity.
In 1978, Bertini was
awarded the Israel State
Prize for music, the highest
honor awarded to civilians.
