Columnist Cantor to Speak
at BAHM Women's Luncheon

nounces its annual pre-
Passover Mo'os Hitim Char-
ity luncheon will be held
noon March 24 in the
synagogue.
The guest of honor and
speaker will be George Can-
tor, columnist for the De-
troit News. A native De-
troiter, Cantor is a graduate
of Wayne State University.
He began his newspaper
career with Booth News-
papers, joined the Detroit
Free Press in 1973 and for
41/2 years was its sports and
travel reporter, winning an
Associated Press Award for
his series on the demo-
graphic changes as revealed
by the 1970 census.
He joined the Detroit
News in 1977 and became
one of its columnists in
1979. Cantor wrote a
three-volume set of travel
books, "The Great Lakes
Guidebook."
