The Central Bureau of
Statistics reported that dur-
ing the first six months of
1981 Israel's imports ex-
ceeded exports by $2.1 bil-
lion. In the same period in
1980, the figure was $1.7
billion.
As of June 1981, Israel's
foreign debt stood at $22.2
billion.
