Music Study Club to Hear Oakland U. Prof on Opera

Dr. Robert I. Facko, asso-
ciate professor in music of
Oakland University, will
address the Music Study
Club in a lecture-recital on
opera 12:15 p.m. March 16
at Temple Beth El, an-
nounces President Helen
Kerwin. His topic is:
"Women in Opera — Is This
Progress?"

Receiving his Bachelor
and Master of Music de-
grees at the University of Il-
linois where he studied with
Soulima Stravinsky, Stan-
ley Fletcher and Webster
Aitken, he went on to earn
an EdD degree from Colum-
bia University, where he
studied with Robert Pace.

Donor Lunch at Michigan Inn

The Women's Auxiliary
to the Maimonides Medical
Society will hold its 36th
annual donor luncheon
noon March 30 at the
Michigan Inn, announces
Mrs. Ralph Coskey,
president.
Proceeds will be used for
interest-free loans to needy
medical students at four
Michigan medical schools
and at the Hebrew Univer-
sity in Israel and to support
many health-related local
community projects. _
The donor will begin at
10:30 a.m. with boutiques
coordinated by Mrs.
Michael Wainstock. Among
the items to be featured are
original ceramics and works
of art, handmade sweaters,
original jewelry and more.

noon will be highlighted by
a fashion show.
