He was graduated from New York University CZllege of Medicine in 1943. At the time of his death he was associate professor of surgery at the Wayne State University Medical School. He was a captain in the Army during World War II. Dr. Krakauer was a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Detroit Academy of Surgery.
