The Organization of Arab
Students and the Union of
Palestinian Students at
Wayne State University
- have turned down an offer
to meet with officials of the
WSU Hillel Foundation in
an attempt to lessen the
tension that has existed be-
tween Jewish and Arab stu-
dents on campus for the past
year.
The offer, which was
made by Hillel Rabbi Eli
Finkelman and Uri Levi, a
member of the Hillel stu-
dent board, called for a
forum using the campus
Lutheran minister as an in-
termediary. The Arab stu-
dents contended that they
could not authorize the
forum because their char-
ters "forbid meetings with
Zionists."

pravity of man.
