'Dallas' Cast Tours Israel LOS ANGELES — Six members of the cast of CBS-TV's "Dallas" will va- cation in Israel next month as guests of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Traveling to Israel will be Ken Kercheval, Susan Howard, Steve Kanaly, Charlene Tilton, Linda Gray and Audrey Landers. They will be accompanied by their spouses and John Simes of Lorimar Prod- uctions. During their stay in Is- Noshrim Queried on Contributions JERUSALEM (JTA) — Deputy Minister Dov Shilansky said that he will personally investigate re- ports that unknoWn persons were raising funds for an Is- raeli institution among Soviet Jewish dropouts in Vienna and Rome, possibly with fraudulent intentions. Shilansky, who is at- tached to the prime minis- ter's office and is in charge of efforts to prevent drop- outs — Soviet Jews who opt to settle in countries other than Israel — was respond- ing to a document produced by Uzi Baram, chairman of the Knesset's Immigration and Absorption Committee. According to the docu- ment, contributions were being solicited for the Fund for the Security of Israel (LIBI) which is used to de- velop educational facilities for Israel's armed forces. Emigres waiting in Vie- nna or Rome for immigra- tion to the U.S. or other Western countries, repor- tedly received the LIBI emblem in acknowledge- ment of their contributions and thereby enjoyed legiti- mation by an Israeli institu- tion. Peru Jewry Irked by Vote Against Israel LIMA (JTA) — The Jewish community of Peru has expressed its "profound dismay" over that country's vote in favor of the United Nations General Assembly resolution of Feb. 5 con- demning Israel for annex- ing the Golan Heights and demanding punitive sanc- tions against Israel and its total isolation from the worlds community. A statement released in Lima by Leopoldo Kahn, president of the Asociacion Judia Del Peru, noted that in supporting "the Communist-Arab initia- tive," Peru isolated iself "from the other democratic nations of the Western and Christian world, as well as the Latin. American family, including those fellow na- tions ,of the Andean Pact." The latter, Chile and Argentina, abstained. The United States and Western European countries joined Israel in voting against the measure which was over- whelmingly supported by the Communist bloc and Third World countries. rael, the six will be guests of honor at a gala evening to launch a special foundation for the promotion of tourism to Israel, a project inaugu- rated by Israel Minister of Tourism Avraham Sharir. The cast members will also appear at the annual Kinor David ceremony, Is- rael's equivalent of the Emmy Awards. "Dallas" is one of Israel's most popular television shows.
