Jobs Program

NEW YORK — The Na-
tional Council of Young Is-
rael has praised Senator
Alphonse D'Amato (R-NY),
for playing a key role in the
renewal of one of the coun-
try's most effective job pro-
grams, administered by
NCYI.
The U.S. Department of
Labor has funded the On-
the-Job Training program,
which Young Israel oper-
ates in New York, Detroit,
Cleveland and St. Louis,
which annually finds em-
ployment for hundreds of
job seekers in private indus-
try on a non-sectarian basis.

Jewish Execs

Some six percent of
America's top corporate
executives are Jewish, ac-
cording to a recent survey.
The survey also reported
that 75 percent were Protes-
tant, 14 percent Catholic
and five percent of the
executives surveyed re-
ported no religious prefer-
ence.
