assume the directorship of
the Greater Metropolitan
Detroit campaign.
The announcement was
made by Sam Rich, Metro
Detroit Israel Bond general
chairman, who, along with
other executive board
members, welcomed Cohen
to his new post.
A native of Cleveland,
Cohen has been a com-
munal service profes-
sional since he earned his
master's degree in 'social
work at Ohio State Uni-
versity. He began his
career with the Bond
Organization in 1969, in
Providence, R.I.
Cohen is married to the
former Geraldine Silver of
Cleveland; they are the par-
ents of three children, two of
whom have made aliya to
Israel.

Applications for all pro-
grams will be accepted
throughout the afternoon.
Coffee and cake will be pro-
vided in a separate room for
parents. Parents will also be
able to meet and speak with
some of the current mem-
bers and officers of the
Fresh Air Society's board of
directors. For information,
call the Fresh Air Society,

All former campers and
staff and interested chil-
dren are invited, free of
charge.

WASHINGTON (JTA) —
There was no immediate
confirmation here of reports ,
that unidentified attackers
set off bombs at the Israeli,
Argentine and Haitian em-
bassies in Guatemala City
last week. The State De-
partment said it had no in-
formation on the attacks.
According to reports from
Guatemala City, guards at
the Israeli Embassy opened
fire on the attackers who
fled in a car. A Guatemala
City police source reported
no casualties and only
minor damage from the at-
tacks.
