Mrs. Zimmerman served
during 1979-1981 as
Women's Division cam-
paign chairman in Atlanta,
Ga. She also serves on the
executive board of the
American Israel Public Af-
firs Committee, the
American Jewish Historical
Society, the Joint Distribu-
tion Committee, the board
of trustees of the American
Friends of Tel Aviv Univer-
sity.
Mrs. Zimmerman is a
member of the Southwest
regional board of the
Anti-Defamation League
and the national execu-
tive council and foreign
policy commission of the
American Jewish Com-
mittee.
She also is a member of
the executive board of the
Atlanta Jewish Welfare
Federation. Mrs. Zimmer-
man also is a member of the
executive and national fi-
nance councils of the Demo-
cratic National Committee
and served as national
director-Jewish community
liaison of the 1976 Carter-
Mondale campaign. She
was appointed by President
Carter-to a six-year term on
the National Committee for
the Humanities.

and Timothy Cheek were
married recently at the
Birmingham Temple. Rabbi
Sherwin Wine officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Cynthia Greenspan of
Huntington Woods and the
late Dr. Sanford Greenspan.
Parents of the bridegroom
are Mrs. Allyne Cheek of
Dallas, Tex., and the late
Mr. Thomas Cheek. The
couple were graduated-from
Oberlin College and 'reside
in Austin, Tex., where Mr.
Cheek attends the Univer-
sity of Texas Graduate
School of Music.
Jewish Music, Dance Tribute
in Honor of Chajes at Center
A world premiere dance,
choreographed by Jacob
Lascu to the music of Julius
Chajes' "Israeli Melodies,"
will be performed by the
Festival Dancers 3:30 p.m.
Jan. 31 in the DeRoy Studio
Theater at the main Jewish
Community Center.
Harriet Berg, the director
of the Festival Dancers, and
Barbara Rinaldo of the
Jewish Center staff, have
collaborated on a dance to
the music of Aaron Cop-
land's Piano Sonata No. 2,
entitled "The Two." Artist
Deanna Sperka has created
a set especially for the
DeRoy Theater for this oc-
casion, which honors
