Fresh Air Unit
Receives Grant

Leonard W. Smith, secre-
tary of the Skillman Found-
ation, has announced ap-
proval of a grant of
$25,000 to be given to Sil-
verman Village, a program
sponsored by the Fresh Air
Society for emotionally im-
paired children. Behavior
patterns of these children
preclude their participation
in normal camp, school and
community programs.
Silverman Village pro-
vides the only residential
therapeutic camp of ex-
tended length in Michigan.
The grant will be used to
help defray general operat-
ing expenses of the pro-
gram.
