The event, which is in honor of the 75th anniver- sary of the League of Catholic Women, will com- mence at 12:15 p.m. Guest speakers will be Archbishop Edmund C. Szoka of the Diocese of De- troit, and Rabbi Marc H. Tanenbaum, director of the interreligious affairs de- partment of the American Jewish Committee. Their topic will be, "The Next De- cade in Catholic-Jewish Re- lations." Rabbi Richard C. Hertz, senior rabbi of Temple Beth El, will give the invocation. The benediction will be given by Father Alex Brunett, director of ecumencial and and interreligious af- fairs of the Archdiocese of Detroit. The presidents of the League of Jewish Women and the League of Catholic Women are Marilyn Schakne and Marilyn Lundy, respectively. Vice President of Program is Marjorie Saulson. Career Parley Due for Women A Career Convention for Women will be held Feb. 12 and 13 at the Westin Hotel. The convention will also feature more than 50 semi- nars, panel discussions and clinics, concentrating on where jobs will be in the fu- ture, how women can im- prove themselves in the jobs they have currently, and how they can develop job hunting skills. NBC news anchor Jessica Savitch will keynote the two-day convention.
