Ivan S. Bloch, Metro De-
troit Israel Bond Prime
Minister's Club president,
will lead a group of De-
troiters who will participate
in the 1982 International
Prime Minister's Confer-
ence to be held in Israel Jan.
24-31.
The conference will dis-
cuss plans with Israel's
leaders for the next stages
in the economic develop-
ment of Israel and the "New
Negev."
Founders of the Mediter-
ranean - to - Dead Sea Canal
energy project, for which
the Bond organization is
mobilizing $100 million in
seed money, will be honored
at a special ceremony dur-
ing the conference, Detroit
Israel Bond Chairman Sam
Rich reported. As of Dec. 31,
14 Detroit Bond leaders
have accepted invitations to
attend the conference. They
will be feted at a Bon Voy-
age party Jan. 19 at the
Birmingham home of Mr.
and Mrs. Bloch.

Highlights of the Prime
Minister's Conference
will include a dinner with
Prime Minister Menahem
Begin and meetings with
Defense Minister Ariel
Sharon, Finance Minister
Yoram Aridor, Energy
Minister Yitzhak Berman
and other officials.

A day will be spent in the
Dead Sea area, where con-
ference participants will
visit the site of the proposed

from Czechoslovakia re-
ports that no references to
the pre-war Jewish com-
munity of Czechoslovakia
have been published within
the last 25 years.
The ICJC checked with a
major West German book-
seller and ordered Czech
textbooks and histories in-
dependently. No references
to Jews or Jewish corn-
munities were found.
