of Sinai Talks

Sinai Hospital of Detroit
will sponsor a Town Hall
series of lectures on ar-
thritis beginning 7:30 p.m.
Monday in Zuckerman Au-
ditorium at the hospital.
On Monday, psychiatrist
Dr. Keith Lepard will dis-
cuss coping with pain, and
rheumatologist Dr. Allan
M. Smiley, will discuss drug
therapy.
On March 22, at 7:30
p.m., Sinai's co-chief of
rheumatology, Dr. Samuel
Indenbaum, will give hints
on avoiding arthritis quac-
kery, and dietitian Wilda
McMurry will discuss diet
and arthritis.
There is no charge for the
lectures and free parking
will be available at the
Shapero School of Nursing,

Group to Gather

Dr. Mintzi Schramm,
dean of Allan/Touro Col-
lege, will discuss "Jewish
Passages" at the next meet-
ing of Career Women of the
Jewish Welfare Federation
Women's Division 6 p.m.
Jan. 18 in the United He-
brew Schools board room.
The program, beginning at
7, will deal with the various
roles a Jewish woman plays
during her lifetime. Profes-
sional women are invited.
Dr. Schramm received a
bachelor's degree from City
College in New York City, a
master's degree from the
University of California at
Berkeley and a PhD degree
from the University of
Michigan.
A college dean since Sep-
tember 1980, Dr. Schramm
has taught at Eastern
Michigan University and
the University of Michigan ;
Dearborn campus.
Career Women holds
monthly meetings on topics
of interest to Jewish profes-
sional women. Chairman of
the group is Jeannette Til-
chin, and Malka Gordon is
