VIENNA (JTA) — Three
Arab terrorists will go on
trial here Jan. 18 for an at-
tack on the Jewish commu-
nity center and synagogue
last August in which two
people were killed and 18 in-
jured.
One of the accused,
Mohammed Husham Rad-
jih, is also expected to be
charged with the murder of
Heinz Nittel, a Vienna city
councilman and friend of Is-
rael who was fatally shot
last May 1.
Radjih and Hassam Mar-
van, arrested on Aug. 29,
confessed to the attack and
implicated another Arab,
Bahij Younis, who they said
planned the operation and
provided them with
weapons. Younis was sub-
sequently arrested in
Salzburg.

Radjih reportedly also
confessed to killing Nittel

He admits to attacking
the community center but
claimed he was not in Au-
stria when Nittel was shot
and that he does not know
who killed him. The
authorities have discounted
this. Police say Radjih gave
them certain details of the
murder which establish
that he was the assassin.
Several lawyers have re-
fused to handle Radjih's de-
fense on grounds that they
have Jewish clients. The
court is expected to appoint
a defense attorney.

TO ALL RABBIS, PRESIDENTS

ORGANIZATIONS AND SYNAGOGUES

As a prominent Jewish personality it is obvious to you that there
exists an irreconcilable contradiction between western democ-
racy and a Jewish-Zionist state. If there will, indeed be western
democracy and political equality for the Arabs of Israel, they must
then have an absolute right to become a majority (should they
succeed in that), elect a majority of 61 to the Knesset and,
democratically put an end to the Jewish state.

Naor Submits Resignation

JERUSALEM (JTA) —
Arye Naor announced that
he has submitted his resig-
nation as Cabinet secretary,
a post he has held for nearly
five years, to Premier
Menahem Begin.
He said he asked to be re-
lieved of his duties next Ap-
ril, but denied that his res-

any way with a disciplinary

elections last June.
A complaint was filed
against Naor by syndicated
cartoonist Raanan Lurie,
who works for the Times of
London and was previously
employed by the West Ger-
man news magazine Die
Welt.

Lurie alleged that Naor
leaked to him secret in-
formation about a con-
versation between
former President Jimmy
Carter and West German
Chancellor Helmut
Schmidt in an effort to
persuade Lurie to help
him get a job on Die Welt.

Naor has denied the
charges and contends that
the "secret information"
had in fact been published
weeks earlier in the Israeli
daily Maariv. Naor is a
staunch Herut loyalist. It
was rumored here that he
would be succeeded by an-
other Herut loyalist,
Jerusalem lawyer Dan
Meridor.

In the present circumstances - 6 high Arab birthrate and low
Jewish one combined with a negligible rate of Aliya (immigra-
tion) and a growing wave of Jewish emigration from the country
— the possibility of the democratic Arabization of Israel is most
. likely.

Cuba Aids PLO
in 'Documentary'

NEW YORK (JTA) — A
film dealing with the Pales-
tinian people has been co-
produced by the Cuban In-
stitute of Radio and Televi-
sion and the Palestine Lib-
eration Organization, it was
announced in Granma, the
official organ of the Central
Committee of the Com-
munist Party of Cuba.
The paper, published in
English in Havana, said the
film, "El camino de la
tierra" ("The Road of the
Earth"), "skillfully depicts
the tragedy of a people dis-
placed from their land and
forced to wander through-
out the world."
The film includes an
interview with PLO chief
Yasir Arafat "and men and
children who have been vic-
tims of Zionist crimes," the
paper added. The film had
its premiere recently in
Havana.

With love of Israel,

Rabbi Meir Kahane

I believe that western democracy takes precedence over the
necessary Zionist, Jewish character of Israel. Should the Arabs
become a majority in Israel, they must be allowed the right to
make it an Arab state.

❑

[11 I believe that Zionism and a Jewish state take precedence over
western democracy. Under no circumstances must the Arabs be
allowed to be a majority in Israel.
