rietor, Chuck Muer . .

loaned, free of charge, to
those without them.
The newly-remodeled
bar in Hotel Pontchart-
rain recently reopened
with a special dedication

DuMouchelle Galleries in
downtown Detroit held an
auction of cigar
memorabilia and antiques
in the bar, to benefit Father
Quinn's Sacred Heart Re-
habilitation Center.
The Salamandre features
an electronic stock ex-
change board over the bar,
ready access to the Wall
Street Journal, the New
York Times and Chicago
Tribune on wall racks.
A special cigar menu,
maybe the first in the na-
tion, guides cigar connis-
seurs through the 14 choice
varieties in the humidor.
Guests included Mil-
lard Newman, presidnet
of M&N Cigar Co. of
Tampa, Fla., maker of
Cuesta-Rey cigars and
one of the country's
largest cigar companies.
Elaine Newman Rogan,
whose father Julius Caesar
Newman founded M & N.
Cigar Co. in 1895, was
among the guests.
