teacher at Pepper Elemen-
tary in Oak Park . . . Stacy
tore about the room empty-
ing shelves and counters
and putting Mrs. Wein-
berg's toys on the floor .. .
Before leaving, one of the
other teachers came in to
see Mrs. Weinberg's grand-
daughters, and astoundedly
asked Stacy what she was
doing . . . Said the little tot,
"It's my bubbie's school!"

data . . . Ann Weinman hav-
ing occasion to call a leading
music store about Vladimir
Horowitz and Isaac Stern
and the obviously new
switchboard operator an-
swering, 'Are they em-
ployed here?' . . .. The hus-
band asking his wife an-
grily, 'Another new dress!
Where will I get the money
to pay for it?' . . . Her an-
swer, 'Whatever my faults,
dear, I'm not inquisitive.' "
