, • , THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Bar - Ilan Names Hart, Pappas Dr. Martin Hart and Norman A. Pappas have been appointed 1982 Bar Ilan general chairmen in Detroit. The announcement was made by Phillip StQllman, chairman of the university's Global Board of Trustees, and by Dr. Leon Fill, vice president of its American Board of Over- seers and a member of the Global Board. Both Hart and Pappas have been involved with Rr - Ilan's activities for the t number of years, and ve been charged with ex- panding the base of Bar - Ilan's supporters in Detroit. Dr. Hart served Detroit Friends of Bar-Ilan as 1981 vice chairman as well as 40 addition, he is on the Jewish Community Cen- ter board, is active with Adat Shalom Synagogue and is a former board member of the United Hebrew Schools and of the American ORT Fed- eration. Pappas has actively pro- moted Bar - Ilan's endow- ment program during the last two years. He recently led a United Jewish Appeal mission to the Bar - Ilan campus.
