Yeshiva University is in its second year of sponsor- ship of a computer training institute which has trained young men and women of a variety of races and creeds for employment in the fast- growing field of computer programming. In the first year of the in- stitute, 84 percent of the 57 graduates landed jobs after graduation in a variety of major firms, including one who found a job with a $47,000 annual salary, ac- cording to Aizik Liebovitch, instructor at the institute, a Russian Jewish emigre. This year, some 30 im- migrants from the Soviet Union and Iran, and from Ecuador and Burma, as well as Black and Hispanic Americans, are enrolled in the no-fee, seven-month course at the institute, lo- cated at the university's Syrian AWACS Hot Air Balloon Rides NEW YORK — The New York Post has reported that Syria will buy two AWACS-type radar planes from the Soviet Union within a year.
