Born in Hungary, Mr. Jonas lived 50 years in De- troit. He retired to Miami Beach, Fla., 10 years ago. While in Detroit, Mr. Jonas was active in the Or- thodox community, and with his wife, Lenke, was involved in aid efforts and in tasks for providing edu- cational facilities for chil- dren.
