The Best of Everything
IT WAS FRIDAY nignt
in the lounge at Honey Tree,
Orchard Lake Rd., near 13
Mile ... People were sing-
ing ... drinking and having
fun ... dining on delicious
Greek food .. like lemon
rice soup, baby lamb chops,
skordalia (cold potatoes
. mashed with garlic), wait-
resses carrying saganaki
and yelling "oopa!" while
the pianist gave out his re-
- quest melodies.
Our waitress, 5'11" Jac-
kie Walker, was all smiles
... very pleasant, persona-
ble and efficient.
So much fun ... like
happy-go-lucky family of
Helen and Lloyd Weingar-
den . * . his sisters Marlene
and Lois Bez ... with
brother Gene ... and Lois'
husband Alvin ... Alvin is
partners with brother
George Bez (who had to
work) at their Burton-
Hollow Pharmacy.
Even hostess at Honey
Tree, Olga Zoiopoulos, is a
pleasant, smiling and gra-
cious person to greet and
seat persons.

CHEF CHUCK FORMOSA'S DINNER SPECIALS
GOOD WAITER DEPT.
. Leo Spavale . .. at
Mario's ... Second between
Willis and Canfield ... one
of the best ... with a lot of
know-how and plenty of
personality you like in a
waiter ... Little things like
patiently helping people de-
cide ... Leo's jocular ways
with a straight face are a
Mario's classic . . . and cus-
tomers love it . He does
wonders with an orange,
also.
WONDERFUL TO
HEAR Ronnie Shandel
sing again. .. The lead
guitarist with such a great
voice ... appearing among
the Louie Marr Quartet at
Al's Scotch 'n Sirloin,
Greenfield and Northwest-
ern, still has that very fine
presentation.
Ronnie had throat prob-
lems, but continues to sell a
song with much appeal .. .
He may say his voice is gone
. but a new one has cer-
tainly taken its place ...
which many think is even
better than before .. . "The
More I See You" by Ronnie
is dynamite.
Songstress with Louie
Marr, Sharon Williams,
continues to belt out tunes
among the best of them ...

Sauce I love so much with
Butterfly Shrimp . . . Ex-
calibur, Northwestern at
Franklin and 12 Mile ..
Executive Chef Marty Wilk,
has the touch for taste
enjoyed by so many ... His
butterfly shrimp, by the
way is sauteed, not overly
battered with breaded
camouflage.
Sue Stout is another of
owner Pat Archer's waitress
angels as she gives out with
much personality and effi-
ciency ... and a lot of smiles
... If you like creamed
drinks, next time there try
the Excalibur.
