JVS Will Aid
Ex-Homemakers

The Jewish Vocational
Service has received a grant
from the Michigan Depart-
ment of Labor to provide
vocational counseling and
job placement services for
"displaced homemakers."
Displaced homemakers
are former homemakers
who, through divorce, sep-
aration, widowhood, in-
eligibility for public assis-
tance, or other crises, have
lost their source of economic
support. After spending a
substantial number of years
in the home caring for fam-
ily members, displaced
homemakers find returning
to the job market a difficult
transition.
For information, call Gail
Stewart or Eileen Holzman
at JVS, 967-0500.
