Favored in Poll

JERUSALEM (ZINS) —
Some 49.7 percent of those
responding to a Public
Opinion Research Institute
poll said they would prefer
Israel to be a state with a
Jewish majority rather
than annex Judea, Samaria
and Gaza with their Arab
majorities.
Some 35.5 percent fa-
vored the annexation and
4.4 percent favored annexa-
tion for the sake of Israel's
security. Some 10.4 percent

TEL AVIV (ZINS) — MK

Moshe Arens recently wrote
that Israel has to travel a
long road before its Arab
citizens achieve true inte-
gration into Israel society.
Arens quoted an Arab boy
on Israeli TV who said he
felt like an Israeli when he
visited Nablus, and like an
Arab when he visits Tel
Aviv.
