The Program Planning
Committee of Temple Beth
El will present "An Evening
of Music" with The Rosner
Trio 8 p.m. Dec. 1 in the
temple. Refreshments will
be served at 7:30.
The trio is composed of
Collette Rosner, pianist;
Kim Rosner - Doelker,
flutist; Cindy Rosner Kelly,
clarinetist.
The program will include
the premiere performance
of Julius Chajes' "Andante
for Flute, Clarinet and
Piano"; "Adagio for
Clarinet" by Richard
Wagner and "Prelude and
Rigaudon" by E. Avon;
"First Sonata for Flute and
Piano" by Bohuslav Mar-
tinu; "Three Seasons" by
Andrew Arvin; and "Fugue
in G Minor" by J. S. Bach,
featuring Prof. Jason H.
Tickton, music director of
the temple, on the organ.

Eruv Council
Established

A temporary steering
committee has been or-
ganized and three subcom-
mittees have been created
to implement an eruv in the
Oak Park - Southfield area.
(The decision to create the
eruv was based on corre-
spondence from Rabbi
Moshe Feinstein, chief
halakhic expert in the U.S.)
The eruv is an
halakhically-approved bor-
der within which one may
carry on Shabat, an action
prohibited outside the eruv
on the Sabbath.
The three subcommittees
include: construction and
maintenance, education
and public relations and
financing.
Rabbi Feivel Wagner of
Young Israel of Greenfield
is chairman of the steering
committee. Dr. Jeffrey Last
is co-chairman. Committee
members include: Dr. Jack
Bellen, Arnold Carmen,
Michael Carmen, Dr. Ken-

Plan to Gather

The Israel Numismatic
Society of Michigan, Inc.,
will meet 8 p.m. Tuesday in
room 13 of the Jewish
Community Center Jimmy
Prentis Morris Branch.
The program will feature
two presentations from the
Jewish National Fund: "So
Bold the Challenge" and
"The Realization of a
Dream." Refreshments will
be served.

The Rosner Trio is a fam-
ily musical ensemble com-
posed of mother, Collette
Salon Rosner, pianist; and
her two daughters, Cindy
Rosner Kelly, clarinetist,
and Kim Rosner - Doelker,
flutist. They began perform-
ing together 12 years ago
when Cindy and Kim were
students at West Hills
Junior High in the Bloom-
field Hills School District.
In addition to performing
together and as soloists, the
members of the ensemble
teach privately in the Oak-
land County area. They are
members of the Detroit
Alumni Chapter of Mu Phi
Epsilon, international pro-
fessional music fraternity,
of which Cindy is co-vice
president.

Merkaz to Have
Melave Malka

The Merkaz, the layman's
organization of the Vaad
Harabonim of Greater De-
troit, will have a melave
malka 8:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at
Cong. Dovid Ben Nuchim.
Rabbi Moshe Heineman,
kashrut expert from Balti-
more, Md., will deliver the
keynote address to the
gathering.
