p.m. Thursday in the
synagogue's social hall.
Dinner chairman is Max
Nosanchuk.
Rabbi Gorrelick, a 75-
year-old resident of Oak
Park, will be recipient of the
"Jerusalem, City of Peace
Award," in appreciation
"for his life-time dedication
and service to the cause of
Judaism and the state of Is-
rael."
Ambassador Brosh, the
guest speaker, began his
second tenure in the post
of Minister of Informa-
tion in Washington in
August 1978, having
previously served in that
capacity from 1970 to
1973. He went to Wash-
ington from Los Angeles
where he was Consul
General of Israel for
seven
southwestern
states.
A member of Israel's
Foreign Service since 1960,
his previous appointments
include those of ambassador
to Burma and Sri Lanka,
and counselor for informa-
tion in Bonn, West Ger-
many. At the Foreign
Ministry in Jerusalem,
Brosh served twice as chief
of the division for interna-
tional cooperation which di-
rects Israel's worldwide
program for technical assis-
tance to the developing
countries.

pearing in last week's
Jewish News should have
said that the extension of
the eruv to Federation
Apartments has not yet
been built.
The only action normally
prohibited by the laws of
Shabat which is allowed on
Shabat in an eruv is carry-
ing. The Jewish News re-
grets these errors.
