research studies and arti-
cles, Dr. Kahana specializes
in medical sociology, the
aging and inter-
generational relationships.
Currently a professor in the
department of sociology of
Wayne State University,
she was awarded the
Presidential Citation of the
university in 1978.

follow the 10 a.m. regularly

Surgeon Wins
Medical Award

Dr. Milton K. Miller of
Bloomfield Hills received
the Distinguished Osteo-
pathic Surgeon Award at
the 54th annual clinical as-
sembly of osteopathic spe-
cialists in Boston, Mass.,
last month. He also was
elected to the board of gov.
ernors of the American Col-
lege of Osteopathic Sur-
geons for a three-year term.
Dr. Miller is a senior
attending surgeon at the
Detroit Osteopathic - Bi-
County Hospitals, Martin
Place Hospital, Pontiac Os-
teopalhic Hospital and
William Beaumont Hospi-
tal - Troy.
