TEL AVIV (ZINS) — The
Israel Finance Ministry has
confirmed a Yediot Ahronot
report that Israeli invest-
ment capital has been in-
vested overseas in recent
years, instead of at home.
The paper also said that
the dollar is worth 121/2
times more than it was two
years ago in Israel and
noted that when Israel was
founded 33 years ago the Is-
raeli pound was worth $4.
The dollar is now worth 137
Israeli pounds.
Educated Force
TEL AVIV (ZINS) —
Some 22 percent of those
able to work in Israel have
university degrees. Only
Sweden has a higher figure
at 25 percent. The U.S. fig-
ure is 18 percent.
