In Michigan, there are Hillel Foundations on the campuses of Wayne State and Michigan State Uni-. versities and the University of Michigan. In Detroit, the Bnai Brith Youth Organ- ization serves 1,200 teenage boys and girls belonging to AZA and BBG. Both Hillel and BBYO provide educa- tional, religious and cul- tural programs designed to strengthen the participants' religious beliefs and instill a sense of civic responsibil- ity.
