Saul Seigel to Join Tribute
to Horev at Technion Event

,Saul Seigel, national
executive vice president of
American Tehcnion
Society, will join members
and friends of the Detroit
Chapter of ATS in paying
tribute to Gen. Amos Horev,
president of Technion, at
the chapter's annual dinner
to be held 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at
Adat Shalom Synagogue.
Gen. Horev is guest of honor
and keynote speaker.
The first Israel-born
president in Technion's 55-
year history, Gen. Horev as-
sumed the top-level post
eight years ago, following a
career in the Israel Defense
Forces.
The announcement of
Seigel's participation in the
dinner program was made
by Louis Milgrom, chapter
president and a member of
ATS's national board.
Nationally known in
the fields of fund raising,
urban development and
public relations, Seigel
was appointed ATS
executive vice president
in 1979. Prior to this ap-
pointment, Seigel was for
• four years the director of
development at Ohio
State University and
chief executive officer of
the university's de-
velopment fund.
Seigel has also served as
consultant to the Charles
Stewart Mott Foundation,
the government of Califor-
nia under then-Gov. Ronald
Reagan and the govern-
ment of Michigan under
Gov. William Milliken. He
was a key figure in efforts to
rebuild the inner city of
Flint, and is a former execu-
tive director of the United

Seigel is an alumnus of
Ohio State University and
attended institutes for
organizational manage-
ment at Syracuse and
Michigan State Univer-
sities. He served in the U.S.
Navy during World War H.
Active as an officer and di-
