Yehuda Paz, director of
the Afro-Asian Institute in
Israel, will be the guest
speaker at a testimonial
dinner for Louis and Ruth
Redstone Tuesday at Cong.
Beth Achim.
Paz was born in the
United States and went to
Israel in 1950. He was edu-
cated at Columbia Univer-
sity, University of London
and the Teachers' Institute
of the Jewish Theological
Seminary. He holds
Bachelor of Arts and
Bachelor of Science degrees
in economics, a Master of
Science degree and docto-
rate in sociology.
He is one of the founding
members of Kibutz Kisufim
in the Negev of which he has
been a member from 1951 to
date.
Among his many posi-
tions to date, Dr. Paz has
been deputy director,
youth department of the
Jewish Agency; director
of the Van Leer
Jerusalem Foundation;
and director of depart-
ment of higher education
of the United Kibutz
