We are proud to be chairmen of an event honor- ing the memory of Morris L. Schaver, a pioneer in Detroit philanthropy — particularly for Israel — a visionary who perceived in those early years the vital role Lubavitch would come to play in the com- munity, a man loved by all. We are proud to be associated with Emma Lazaroff-Schaver whose warmhearted philan- thropy — accomplished with quiet grace, charm and dignity — have made her the "First Lady" of Lubavitch and of the community at large. We are proud to dedicate an auditorium in a building filled with young Jewish boys and girls from the famous Lubavitch Cheder and the Bais Chabad Religious School. We are proud to have the world-renowned author, philosopher, and lecturer Elie Wiesel as our guest speaker, and most of all, we are proud to have so many of you, our good friends, joining us in support of Chabad.
