He later served in the Polish Division of the Russian Army. Dorfman found a livelihood as a kosher meat supplier to the dis- placed persons camps. When they were able, the Dorfmans came to De- troit, where today Dorfman operates the meat-packing firm of Frederick and Herrud, Inc.. He is active in communal and - Zionist causes and many organizations and in- stitutions have presented Dorfman with prestigious awards in appreciation of his endeavors, among them ORT, Bnai Brith Youth, the People Make News Dr. Abraham S. A past president of the Greater Detroit Council, Mrs. Rath is cur- rently its vice president. Lillian Maltzer of Hun- tington Woods has been re- elected for a second term to the national board of the Association of Reform Zionists of America.
