Foes in Washington," who
will speak on Nov. 18, and
John Bierman, author of
"Righteous Gentile." the
Raoul Wallenberg story,
who will be the speaker on
Nov. 19.
Kenen will address the
session jointly sponsored by
the American Jewish
Committee, American
Jewish Congress and Bnai
Brith Anti-Defamation
League. The sponsors of the
Bierman lecture are the
Jewish National Fund and
the Detroit District of the
Zionist Organization of
America.
Bierman's '"Righteous
Gentile" was reviewed in
The Jewish News last
week. He discovered the
then virtually-unknown
story of Wallenberg while
working as a television
news correspondent for
the British Broadcasting
Corporation in Israel in
1979. He now lives in
Washington, where he is
a contributor to the BBC
and a columnist for the
Boston Globe.
Kenen enlisted in the
struggle for a Jewish state
in 1917, when he founded
the first Young Judea Club
in Toronto at age 12. He
represented American Jews
at the UN Charter Confer-
ence at San Francisco in
1945. He was a member of
Israers,first UN delegation,
and later the spokesman of
the Washington lobby for
economic aid for Israel. He
retired in 1975 and is now
honorary chairman of the
American Israel Public Af-
fairs Committee and editor
emeritus of the Near East
Report.

Price-Gouging
Found on NY
Kosher Poultry

NEW YORK — A local
television station recently
reported on kosher food
price-gouging by some New
York supermarkets.
followed
WCBS-TV
Saperstein,
Nathaniel
former president of the Na-
tional Council of Young Is-
rael, on a tour of several
area supermarkets compar-
ing prices of kosher and
non-kosher poultry. They
discovered a 100 percent
markup on kosher poultry
in some cases.

Nothing ever gets built on
schedule or within budget.
