Hermelin Picked for Bond Post

NEW YORK — Detroiter
David Hermelin has been
named national campaign
t co-chairman of Israel
Bonds, it has been an-
nounced by Sam Rothberg,
general chairman.
Hermelin, a leader in the
Israel Bond campaign for
more than a decade, has
served as general chairman
of Israel Bonds in Met-
ropolitan Detroit and as
Midwest regional chair-
man.
Hermelin is a member of

"Canal Founders," an honor
society of purchasers of
$100,000 or more in Israel
Bonds for the
Mediterranean-to-Dead Sea
Canal project, and has been
a member of the Israel Bond
Prime Minister's Club since
its inception in 1974.
He played a major role
at the recent 30th An-
niversary Conference of
Israel Bonds in Israel
where he served as
chairman of the "Even-
