OCTOBER IS A big
birthday month for Hy and
Dorothy Nudell . .. His
birthdate was Oct. 7 and
hers is Oct. 19 ... But it
doesn't end there.
Granddaughter Kylee
Benay Saltsman has one
Oct. 17 ... Nephew Jeffrey
Weinfeld, DDS, celebrates
his Oct. 18 ... Jeff's grand-
father, SamBeitner, former
localite now living in
California and visiting here
for the high holidays, has a
birthday Oct. 15 . . . Jef-
frey's other grandmother,
Vera Weinfeld, living at the
Federation Apartments on
10 Mile Rd., has her celeb-
ration with wishes for many
more happy and healthy
ones on Oct. 27.
CERTAINLY NOT
happy news is that there
will be no 51st year reunion
by Northern High in May
1982 as tentatively planned
for Michigan Inn ..
Seymour Fabrick received
about 150 replies to a letter
he sent out .. . Consensus
was that it might be a bit too
soon.. and also, that
may be . it would be a letdown
after the highly-successful
number 50.
Seymour
certainly
doesn't feel this way but is
giving in to the wishes of
some of the members of the
committee .who advise
putting it aside for another
year ... He had some more
surprises planned.
_ Too bad the committee
doesn't want to go through
with the reunion ... It
probably would have been
even better than the last
one ... and more still, a lot
of people who wanted to at-
tend but couldn't for various
reasons would have been
given another opportunity
to see their old schoolmates.

ton Inn was given to the

LOOKING BACK On
Columns Of Yesteryears ...
April 5,1974 ... "Ice ga-
lore covered the car of buil-
der Irwin Stein last week
. and next day while driv-
ing to the office, a huge glob
chunked off his hood knock-
ing smack into his
windshield ... Lucky for
Irwin that no cars were in
his path as the windshield
smashed to smithereens
and his car swerved all over
the road ... Irwin never
should have left the house
in the first place, says wife
Peggy ... It was his day off!"
