Magen David Adorn and for
her lifelong dedicated, al-
truistic involvement and
outstanding philanthropic
generosity which aided
many humanitarian, edu-
cational and cultural causes
throughout the United
Stat4 and the state of Is-
rael."
A special Miriam Ham-
burger MDA Paramedics
Training Scholarship Fund
is being established in her
honor.
Mrs.
Hamburger
serves on the board of
governors of the Jewish
Welfare Federation and
on its capital needs com-
mittee. She is a long-time
member of the board of
trustees of children's
Hospital of Michigan.
She and her husband
Samuel are members of
Cong. Shaarey Zedek and
Temple Emanu-EL
They also were among the
earliest patrons of the
Jewish Theological Semi-
nary and Mrs. Hamburger
was the recipient of the Na-
tional Community Service
Award at its Florida convo-
cation last year. She was
also cited by Hadassah as
"Woman, of the Year" and

rael's Prime Minister's
Medal of Israel Bonds.
Mrs. Hamburger and her
husband are active on be-
half of the American Israel
Cultural Foundation. They

for the Israel Philharmonic
Orchestra when performed
in Detroit under the direc-
tion of Zubin Mehta.
