The event is an advance of
the community-wide "Bond
Between Us' luncheon
scheduled for Oct. 29 at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
Honored at the luncheon
will be Lillian Fischer of
Southfield, recipient-elect
of Israel's 1981 Lithograph
Award, created by Israeli
artist Raffi Kaiser.
"Lillian has been dedi-
cated to the Israel Bond
program since its incep-
tion 30 years ago and I am
pleased to be able to
share in recognizing her
vital role," said Mrs.
Charlupski. "In her
capacity as director of
the Women's Division,
she has helped the
women leaders of Detroit
to produce one of the
most successful cam-
paigns in the United
States," she declared.
Mrs. Charlupski, who led
the Women's Division for
two years, is currently a
member of its executive
board. She and her husband
Allen are on-going mem-
bers of the Israel Bonds
Prime Minister's Club.
At the sponsor luncheon,
special pins created by
Kaiser for the National
Women's Division and
signed by the artist will be
presented to new members
of the National Honorary
Societies. The societies
honor purchasers of Israel
Bonds in amounts ranging
from $1,500 to $10,000 and
over.
