unteers who are involved
with Russian immigrants
as translators and drivers at
Jewish Family Service and
Resettlement Service build-
ing 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Following a light lunch,
Alicia Karr, resettlement
supervisor, will present an
overview of the present im-

migration situation plus a
projection for the future.
Aviva Furchtgott,
caseworker, will describe
the role of the caseworker
and the volunteer in the re-
settlement process.
Acculturation of the
Soviet Jewish immigrant
into the American Jewish
community will be the topic
of discussion by Dr. Luybov

ROBERT ZWEIMAN
Robert M. Zweiman of Ft.
Lee, N.Y., was unanimously
elected national comman-
der of the Jewish War Vete-
rans at the 86th annual
JWV convention in Hol-
lywood, Fla.
Zweienan just completed
two terms as JWV's na-
tional judge advocate. He
has held local, state and na-
tional leadership positions
in bis 33 years of active
membership in JWV, which
include being commander of
Post 76, of the Hudson
County Council, and of the
Department of New Jersey.
