Raleigh Square Mar-
ketplace at 10 Mile and
Telegraph . . . former site
of Raleigh House . . . Inter-
ior construction is going on
. . . and it is expected to
open sometime this fall . . .
weekends only . . . Friday
and Saturday 10 a.m. to 9
p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to
6 p.m.
Raleigh Square Mar-
ketplace with its 100,000
rambling-square yards will
house a little of everything
under its massive enclosure
. . . from soup to nuts
(without the soup, so far)
. . . Furniture, jewelry,
lingerie, fresh flowers, crys-
tal, China, home-made can-
dies, paintings, men's and
women's clothing, shoes,
custom shirts, imported
sweaters, hand-knit yarn,
ear piercing, etc.
Plus food booths galore
with tables for folks to eat
deli, ice cream, potatoes,
souvlaki, salads, funnel
cake, seafood, coney islands,
pizza, etc.
Plus meat market, poul-
try market, etc.
And there'll also be a
full-size, sitdown restau-
rant (where the former
Picadilly and Giraffe used
to pack 'em in) . . . called
Raleigh's . .. with the ac-
cent on informal dining.
THE 50TH REUNION
.
of Northern High 1931
January and June classes
at Michigan Inn was such a -
booming success that
dynamic organizer and
chairman Seymour Fabrick
of Vogue Shoes in Califor- -
nia is at it again . . . Would
you believe it . . . he's al-
ready working on a 51st Re-
union.
Seymour has sent out let-
.ters and post cards to 250
grads asking if they want
one . . . He is so sure they
do that a tentative date of
May 15, 1982 is already
scheduled . . . From all
indications following
number 50, it's almost cer-
tain Seymour and His cora-
mittees will be working
again on another great af-,
fair.
WHERE THEY ARE
. . . Dave and Gerry
Katzman . . . 2811 Some-
rset Dr., C400, Lauderdale
Lakes, Fla. 33311 .. Dave
is president-elect of the
North Broward. County
Council of Bnai Brith
Lodges and membership
chairman of the Florida
State Association of Bnai
Brith.
"There are quite a few De-
troit clubs and Michigan
clubs in South Florida,"
writes Dave. "Gerry and I
attended one of the meet-
ings a few months ago
where we met with Henry
and Rae Chace, Harry and
Dorothy Bodzin, Evelyn and
Sandy Rosenthal, Fred and
Gertrude Korobkin, Sid and
Mi011111 E
ere in
our condo we have many

hear Al and Betty Gutman
are coming down."
_ DONNA SUMMER at
Pine Knob recently not only
did some gift shopping at
Baggit in Applegate Square
on Northwestern . . . but
hosted complimentary third
row center tickets for its
owners Gloria and Herb
Wohlman and Rita and
Manny Cutler.
JILL LUBLIN, 20-
year-old daughter of
Seymour Lublin, was voted
Miss Personality at last
niontfi's Miss Michigan
World Pageant . . . The
honor entitles her to a
fully-paid scholarship to
modeling school . . . and
more sparkles in Seymour's
eyes.
"WHAT MAKES THE
ideal man?" asks clothier
Steve Petix ... "The physi-
cal and intellectual sides
combined with the right
personality," he answers
himself.. . "But," says
Steve, "there's also that im-
portant first impression a
man makes with his ap-
pearance for a day in the
office or a night on the town.
Clothes certainly can help
make the man. A well-
dressed man should have a
classy gray flannel suit, one
or two sport cashmere jac-
kets, a dark blue or brown
suit and at least one silk
suit."
Steve and his ace de-
signer, Philip Formaro,
again were hits at the 101st
annual convention of the
Custom Tailors and De-
signers Association of
America in Florida . . .
Phil was chairman of the
National Research Com-
mittee, made up of some of
the finest names in the
world of clothing . . . His
individual styling is noted
nationwide.
LOOKING BACK ON
Columns of Yesteryears:
"At a USO dance in Lees-
ville, Pa., Pvt. Jerry Gor-
zeck cut in on a GI and dis-
covered him to be Sgt. Leo
Williams, a Gamma Chi
brother from Detroit . . . In
elation at seeing each other
again, they began walking
off the floor . . . not re-
membering until they both
sat down at a table that the
girl was still standing out
there in the middle of the
floor!"
MAY 1, 1970 . . . "While
in Italy, Jules Fayne
noticed -a couple by the
famous Trevi Fountain . .
The couple couldn't speak
English, but Jules used his
hands to ask if he could as-
sist in taking a picture of
the two with their camera
. Last week, in the mail
from Rome came a beautiful
silk tie with a thank you
note in Italian, which he
had translated .. . "We
ookefl so good together that
we got. married!", „
A photographic exhibi-
