veloped by a team of resear-
chers at Ben-Gurion Uni-

The project involves a
functional replacement for
the damaged nerve rather
than a surgical one, accord-

nerve damaged paralysis is
healthy and capable of
working," according to Dr.
Nathan. "The problem is
that there is no conduit for
the message from the brain
to the muscle."
Initially, Dr. Nathan
was interested in de-
veloping a mathematical
model of how the
muscular-skeletal system
works. In the midst of
that project, he began to
look for ways of applying
his results. Designing a
system that uses the
Motor-Nerve Prothesis
principal became the
offshoot of his original ef-
forts.
A group of six engineer-
ing students have been
working with Dr. Nathan
during the last six months.
They split the original prob-
lem into six systems and
each system had to be de-
signed to fit into everyone
else's.

are actively involved with
Sephardic programs in
Sephardic synagogues and
other Sephardic institu-
tions.

Carte's Noontide Press is
still selling copies of "Im-
perium." Imperium, by
Yockey, is a virulent,
anti-Semitic work that
includes statements such
as "The Jew is spiritually
worn out. He can no
longer develop. He can
produce nothing in the
sphere of thought or re-
search. He lives solely
with the idea of revenge
on the nations of the
white European-
American race."
A related article in the
magazine on Yockey,
authored by John C. Obert,
says that Carto "shares
Yockey's worship of
authority and belief in
Aryan supremacy and looks
upon Imperium 'as the only
foundation which can be
used to overthrow, the inner

not only hard at work dis-

record for racism is of long
standing. It quotes a letter
Carto once wrote to an offi-
cial of the Mississippi White
Citizens' Council as stating:
"It is nbt hard to conclude
that the Negro problem is
the very keystone to the
whole dirty scheme to de-
stroy America."
On another occasion,
Carto delegated an aide,
Sarah Shields Jobe, to as-
semble a "KKK" file that
listed secret organizations
to which certain con-
gressmen belonged. The
"KKK" acronym stood for
"Kosher Konservative Con-
