cal science. A specialist in
political thought and social
culture, particularly in the
areas of Jewish ideology
and Marxist ideology. Prof.
Belfer received a BA degree
from the Hebrew Univer-
sity in 1966. She earned a
MA degree at Columbia
University in 1967 and a
doctorate at Tel Aviv Uni-
versity in 1973.

versity.
Through its formal asso-
ciation with the Columbia
University Business School,
Bar-Ilan's program has
integrated American busi-
ness principles and prac-
tices in order to provide
highly trained profession-
als. The program offers a
BA degree in business ad-
ministration instead of the
MBA only, as offered
elsewhere in Israel.
Lessman is a founder of
Bar-Ilan, as well as past
scholarship chairman. His
wife, Nora, has long been
active in American Miz-
rachi Women. A life
member of the American
Women for Bar-Ilan, Mrs.
